Every Nala handpan begins as a flat sheet of steel. Through days of careful hammering, shaping, and heat treatment, it slowly takes form — each note tuned by ear until the instrument sings with clarity and warmth.
Based in Romania, we craft each instrument by hand, one at a time. There are no shortcuts, no assembly lines. Just the steady rhythm of hammer on steel, guided by years of experience and a deep love for sound.

Tuning Reference
432 Hz or 440 Hz?
Two reference pitches, two different feels. Both can be built into any Nala handpan - the choice is yours.
Warm & Meditative
Slightly lower, often described as softer and more grounding. Favoured by sound-healing practitioners and solo players who want a calmer, more introspective tone.
Concert Standard
The international tuning reference. Plays in tune with most recordings, instruments, and music apps - the right pick if you'll jam with others.

Frequently Asked
Each handpan is handcrafted upon order. Production takes 4-8 weeks, followed by careful shipping to your door.
We offer personal consultations where you can discuss your preferences. Contact us to arrange a session.
We offer retuning services for all Nala instruments. Minor tuning adjustments are normal and covered under our care program.
440 Hz is the modern concert standard - your handpan will play in tune with most recordings, instruments, and apps. 432 Hz is the older, slightly lower reference favoured for meditation and sound healing for its warmer, more relaxed feel. Both sound beautiful; 440 Hz is the safer pick if you'll play with others, 432 Hz suits solo and therapeutic use. We can build your instrument in either - just let us know when ordering.
