These Terms govern your use of handpan.ro and any purchase made through it.

2. Products

We sell handcrafted handpan instruments and related services (custom scales, engraving, retreats). Each handpan is made by hand from Ember Steel and tuned individually; minor variations in finish, weight, and tonal character between units of the same scale are an inherent feature, not a defect. Listed prices include VAT (TVA) and are in EUR unless otherwise stated.

3. Order process

• You select an instrument, fill in shipping + billing details at checkout, and pay via Netopia (card).
• Order confirmation is sent by email after successful payment.
• The fiscal invoice is issued automatically via Oblio and emailed separately.
• Production-on-demand instruments may have lead times stated on the product page; we will keep you informed.

4. Pricing & payment

All prices are gross (include 21% VAT for Romanian buyers). Cross-border EU and non-EU orders follow Romanian VAT rules; in some B2B EU cases reverse charge may apply — contact us with your VAT ID for confirmation. Payment is processed by Netopia Payments. We never see or store your card data.

5. Shipping

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on destination country. Romania: ~€5. EU: €25–€60. Other destinations: per the shipping table. Handpans ship in protective cases and are insured during transit.

6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

Under OUG 34/2014 (transposing EU Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers in the EU have a 14-day right of withdrawal from receipt of the instrument, without giving any reason. See our Returns & Refunds page for the procedure, exceptions (customized/engraved instruments), and refund timing.

7. Warranty

All instruments carry a 2-year legal conformity warranty as required by Romanian and EU consumer law (Law 449/2003). Tuning drift caused by normal use, accidental damage, exposure to moisture, drops, or improper care is not covered. We offer paid retuning and repair services for out-of-warranty issues.

8. Account

You may create an account to track orders and save shipping details. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret. We do not store your password — authentication is handled by Supabase (hashed, salted).

9. Intellectual property

All site content (text, photos, scale designs, logos) belongs to Nala Sound Sculptures S.R.L. or licensors. No commercial reuse without written permission.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Dispute resolution

We try to resolve any issue directly — please email us first at contact@handpan.ro. If we cannot agree, EU consumers may use:

• SOL platform — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
• ANPC — anpc.ro (Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection)
• Romanian courts with jurisdiction at our registered office

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. EU consumer protection rights in your country of residence apply where more favourable.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Orders placed before a change are governed by the version of the Terms in effect at the time of order.
